Low Voltage

The low voltage motors are the best option for motorized shades. They have the quietest motors, last the longest and do not need to be charged. For these reasons, they are at the top in price range. Another thing to consider with this option, is having to have an electrician wire the product into your home. This can incur auxiliary costs, like a power supply and other factors.

Battery Operated

This option is the simplest and most cost effective way to motorize your shade. An electrician is not required, and the Lithium Motors cost less. The batteries would need to be charged roughly every 8-12 months depending on usage. To avoid having to do this, a solar panel attachment could be an option to charge the battery for you. 

Accessories for Motorized Shades

  • The Solar Panel option is available through our vendors, Springs Window Fashion as well as Draper Inc.
  • Through our vendors you can choose to connect your shades to your smart home with Voice Control Automation. It works with an app control center. It offers compatibility with Google Assistant, Amazon’s Alexa and the Apple Home Kit.
  • Various vendors offer Sun Sensors. They allow your shade to raise and lower based on the Sun’s positions.
  • Wind sensors are also an option provided by our vendors.
  • You can also customize your shade with a schedule.
  • With app access you can receive live feedback of battery level and shade position.
  • Smart controls are also available. Wall plates, Key Systems as well as Remotes.
